Courage and the Source
To fight this battle all on my own,
I think of a girl waiting at home.
She sits there alone, like me, and waits
Without getting impatient or thinking it's a waste.
She believes that with her love, I can finally win
And forever be free from this accursed sin.
This girl gives me the courage to press on
Even though the time she waits is still very long.
They tell her I'm finished and they tell her I'm gone
So she should probably pick up and just move on.
But she refuses to believe that this lie is true
For the bond we share is an unbreakable virtue.
Take heart, my angel, for I am not gone
I will return to prove all naysayers wrong.
Do not fret my sweet angel in white.
Because of you, I claim the victory on this night.
