The Fine Line
Blazing love and burning hate
Are both connected by a twisting fate.
The line between them is so very thin
That the length of the line is the size of a pin.
The same feelings are made by both burning sides.
For in the heart is where they both reside.
Rising heat and shaking nerves;
The line is so full of swerves.
The same warring feelings are made in the heart.
It is so hard to tell these two emotions apart.
For one is filled with an overwhelming desire,
While the other is filled with anger and fire.
The line is so very curvy and skinny,
It could make any sturdy man dizzy.
Both emotions are almost the same,
But are so different, it's almost a shame.
Two sides diverged and their flags are now raised.
It's time to decide where you will now graze.
Will you choose love and it's enrapturing desire
Or will you choose hate and spread it like a furious wildfire?
