Midnight sky and glitter stars
Shining in the world above,
Shadowing the land of love,
Each looking at the same expanse.

Embroidering the telltale skies,
The stars a path for Lost at Heart.
An ever moving form of art,
They look down at us wisdom full.

Why do we look up at these lights
When we are searching inward, deep?
Do they gain knowledge as we sleep
To reflect life's answers back to us?

When we are troubled with this world,
Wonder, wonder who we are,
They're always there, though quite far,
That midnight sky and glitter stars.

The author's comments:
I love to look up at the stars especially when I have a decision that's been weighing on me and I thought of how many other people look up at the stars at the exact moment I am when they're having a hard time too. It made me think about why the stars give people comfort and appreciate how they're always a source of light even in the darkness.
