She is a skeleton
pale sunken eyes
pasty white skin
her hair falls like yellow yarn
I judge her
subconsciously
If I Looked harder
I would have seen
the prom queen of 1985
a lover of the color blue
a single mom of two
she has only one pair of shoes
she does homework with her kids
at night
she cries herself to sleep
she prays for
someone to care
do you?
