How the Story Ends
I'm afraid of you.
I'm afraid of me.
I'm afraid of us, and what we could be.
I don't know what you see;
I'm nothing to me.
One day you'll realize that and leave.
You tell me to jump,
take a leap of faith.
But I know who will win this race.
I know how the story ends, if it ever begins.
There's no you and me.
I think "how could this be?"
You said you were falling,
that you'd catch me.
But it's simple to see,
all anyone ever does is leave.
