California
This place is strange
Can't you see?
That in my heart
the pain will be.
I miss the rain--
The green grass too
Here the ground stained
with grass old not new
How is this place
A "sight to see"?
Except all of these peoples' tomfoolery.
Material wealth and status
To you, Life's apparatus
Is the norm in this society
But a mind set on reality
Will shy away from this mentality
For there will be nothing to gain
But suffering and pain.
I miss the place my heart yerns for
No--not "Home" but a place I am secure.
Where my heart and mind thrive--
Where I wish I had been derived.
To go back is my plan
and not stay where people don't understand
Who I am and what my life is about.

I'm a military brat, I've been moving about every thre years since I've been born. Just this summer I moved out to southern California and I'm not really feeling it and for the first time having a hard time coping. South Carolina (the last place I lived) is the only place that has ever felt like home to me and I'm missing it--and the south in general--something terrible =/
