It's Saturday; I'm In Love
You just wanted to come and see me,
But you fell down the cracks of my bed.
Isn't it funny how neither of us know
What's going on in my head?
And when you wanted to speak to me,
The words were held tight in your chest.
And in that silence, an internal cry
That I found hard to digest.
I wanted you to be near me,
But your hand was so far from mine.
And through in despair, I want you to be here,
12PM is cutting it fine.
Your words were not set out to hurt me,
And I'm sorry for that tone in my voice.
We can buy each other flowers, but the world won't be ours
And sometimes we don't have a choice.
