The Flight
Trapped in a cage, all alone,
Without a place to call home.
Surrounded by thousands of birds with wings,
Surrounded by all beautiful things.
I want to fly,
I don't want to cry.
I want to be free,
I don't want it to just me.
I want to fly into the unknown,
But not on my own.
Even though it still stings,
I am the only bird that ever stings.
I sing to my only friend the sky,
I will sing to him until I die.
While other birds fly with glee,
None of them have ever heard me plea.
I am that bird trapped alone,
And this cage is my home.
Surrounded by thousands of birds with wings,
Surrounded by all beautiful things.
