Do you see? Do you see it now?
Look at their faces.
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
This is who you are,
This is how you are different.
Different from them.
Do you see?
The questions on their breath,
The disgust on their lips,
The fear in their eyes?
The fear of the different,
The fear of the new,
The fear of the ‘not. like. them.’
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
That it you.
You are the different,
You are the new,
You are the change.
They can't change you,
You won't let them.
You are the hiccup in their seemingly soundproofed system they use to evaluate a person before they even say hello.
You are their imaginary mess up who disrupted their delusional momentary minute of ‘peace’.
You are the beautiful water droplet causing unwanted ripples of freedom and revolution in the minds of people who can’t grasp the concept of individuality.
So they treat you like an outcast.
An alien,
A freak,
The ‘confused kid’ they immediately identify you to be because it is easier for them to believe this than to accept the fact that you have the ability to think equally to them and are simply, truly, different.
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
They fear you,
Because they fear the strong,
They fear what won't give up,
Give in,
Give in to them,
They fear the unknown,
They fear what they don't understand,
They fear what they can't. make. like. them.
You are simply too different,
Too new,
Too revolutionary in your thinking of beautiful thoughts,
never dared or imagined possible by any of them.
You are simply too weird for them,
So they act like they hate you,
And they do. Truely.
They hate you because they assume unconditionally that they can't, and never will be able to understand you
So they don't even try.
They hate that they can't change you,
Can’t force you to conform
to their impossible ideals of imagined,
idealized preconceived perfection that they hold most dear.
So they try to eliminate the threat.
That threat is you and your own individuality in its self
And the idea that they can’t make you change that.
Do you see?
Do you see now?
You pose a threat to their pride,
And their closed off,
Narrow,
Uniformed minds.
They don't want to accept that there is something that they can't change,
Can’t control,
Can’t manipulate.
That there is something that doesn't fit their perfect,
snowy white,
cookie cutter expectations of what other people should, and should not be.
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
That is why they want you to be offended when they insult you,
Why they want you to feel betrayed when they whisper meaningless false rumors about you behind your back,
They want you to shy away from their trademarked unapproving and disgusted glares that they throw at you from every direction when you enter a room.
They want you to listen to their judgments,
They want you to care what they think of you.
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
That is what makes you different from them.
Because you don't care.
You ignore their judgments,
You meet their glares with cold,
Self confident eyes,
With no shame present as you walk past their judgmental looks,
As you open the door to a life where you can be happy and proud of who you are today.
You can't be offended by them,
Because you don't care what they think of you.
Let them whisper all they want,
Let them have their irrelevant insults and their disapproving glares ready to fire at any moment,
Let them think you care about their close minded opinions,
Because you don't.
You don’t care about their judgments and their immediate unprovoked hatred of anything you do.
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
You are special.
You are rare,
You are a bright,
Beautiful,
Shining,
Sapphire.
Gleaming and glittering,
Existing in your own,
Unique,
Self-made,
Unreplicatable,
Sunny glow.
You are simply surrounded,
Living in a world of people existing in their own,
dark grey,
suffocating clouds of ignorance,
with unconsciously influenced,
mass produced world vues handed out like fast food,
clouding their numb eyes from reality.
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
You are strong,
Independent,
And you know you will make it in the end.
You know you are an amazing, revolutionary thinker.
A bright eyed genius with potential to exede the highest expectation
And the ability to make yourself proud to be alive.
Because you are not afraid to be yourself,
To be truly, honestly, yourself.
Do you see?
Do you see it now?
You are truly free,
Free to be who you are,
With no fear of humiliation,
Or judgment,
Because you simply don't care what others think of you.
Because, you, are you.
And you know you are never going to change that.
This world needs more
Bright beautiful people like you,
Please remember,
Never change to meet the expectations of others,
Only ever change for your truest self.
