Senior Year
Senior Year
I’m walking through the halls
One of these days
I’ll miss these walls
2017 is flying by
As I try to do my best
I get distracted but
I’ll never miss Mr. Sorrill’s test
This year
Is one to remember
I really wonder
Who has signed up for tinder
2nd semester
Is going so slow
I wonder where
Everyone plans to go
High school has been great
It’s like a mini vacation
Next year when I come home
I’ll have to use the train station
It’s getting closer to the end
Soon I’ll have to walk the stage
To get my diploma
I can’t believe I’m already this age
College sounds like a horror movie
I’ll be all alone
My classes will be hard
But I’ll do my best to stay in the zone
Making new friends is
Difficult for me
I’m anxious about
What I’ll see
Bam!
All of this change is hitting me
Out of nowhere
I’m so stressed out I need some coffee
Senior Year
I’m walking through the halls
One of these days
I’ll miss these walls

I wrote this piece because I am a senior in high school who is anxious and scared about going to college next year.
