The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change-Carl Rogers

A path
a road
a winding stream
it embodies all my dreams
my heart
my hope
a flame alight
shadows wither all in sight
a lamp
it glows
the tunnel’s end
a drab tar city turns to sand
a glimpse
a snatch
it’s all I owned
a slice of color of my home
But now
it’s here
a summit still
I’m vexed in solace I feel fear
An earth
my clay
a craftsman’s gold
I write my life much like a scroll
The sun
it shines
for me today
I’ll forge treasures with my clay

"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." -Plato

I love your word choice and rhyming skills, and the way your short line breaks resemble scattered thoughts/visions
