Afraid
  People grow wary
  Of things that are new
  People are hesitant
Where there is only a few
It must be big and old
  For it to be okay
  “Well i guess it’s alright”
  Is what they could say
  They do not mean it
  A simple cut lie
  Inside they are afraid
  Causing them to hide
  Of being gay or lesbian
  Or trans or bi
  Or black or spanish
  They would rather die
  When you are different
It is not a nice world
  It wont even matter
If you are a boy or a girl
  They will continue to hate
  To scream, to yell
  It's really no big deal
But you will always get hell
  Don't worry darling
  Dry your eyes
  It's not your fault
  Of sticking painful times
  Keep your chin up
  Do what makes you smile
  Because that distance
  Is greater than any mile
  Though they may be loud
  What you think is stronger
  One thing they want
  Is your hunger
  A hunger for more
  For better and happy
  They don't have that
So they envy what they are lacking.
