Favorite Quote:
"Today I will do what others won't so tomorrow I can do what others can't" -Jerry Rice

A hand so close to your face,

But so far from your eyes.

The darkness nears in the chase-

Lending of help in disguise

Leap and grab then shall rise,

Or jump and surrender to fall.

One way out you surmise,

The release of pain with nightfall.

The world will demoralize-

People at their pity apol,

Death a life true not of lies;

An end once for and for all.

The author's comments:

 This piece was inspired by a horrific event that occured in my town. One of my friends who attended the same school as me ended his own life. This left me confused and sad. I decided to do what I do best and write about it.

   The poem itself is about how there are people there to help you and will listen, lend a helping hand, but no matter how many or how close it is difficult to see it. The action of ending your life comes from what you beleive is true about your self with out listning to those who say good hence the use of the word "Surmise". So in whole it's about suicide provention.
