Do We Ever Sleep
I imagine myself sleeping, but
Do I ever sleep?
I close my eyes and find myself
In a universe that is not actually ours.
Traveling the multi-universe with no intentions
Of living the life as if it were to be my own;
Asking myself if this is for real.
For any reason I don't doubt the feeling
Of openness and freedom;
For the feeling is truly lucid.
I'm awake, and
I'm aware that I am awake.
Physical, but not realistic.
If I never sleep, therefore
I'm always awake; but
If I'm always awake, unfortunately
I never dream.
I don't know for sure if
Every reaction is a response from other actions, because
If I close my eyes and find myself somewhere else;
It defeats the question of whether or not
Do We Ever Sleep?
