Alive
You shouldnt leave me with my mind
The seamless seams of my brain
Bellowing over into nothingness
Or everythingness
Overthinking every hair
Every inch of excellence
We call life
Because I only feel alive
When I run through the neighbourhood
Barefoot and blind
My belongings on my back
With nothing but the rain and my breath to follow me

I actually did run barefoot in the rain to my friends house with a backpack of my stuff on. It felt great, actually. I loved it, it felt like freedom. This is a poem about sadness and doubt but also freedom.
