"and nothing can harm you... unless you change yourself into a thing of harm, nothing can harm you."

i hope you’re out there,

i hope you listen closely:

i know you’re notified.

you’ve infiltrated my reputation.

i thought you knew better than

to forget to play pretend.

you’ve marked your wrists with red,

we bonded over our dead ends,

but it seems your plot has twisted.

i am not the terrorizing type,

i offered secrets late at night.

in return, you’ve lied relentlessly

and you’ve lost your loyalty.

hypocrisy, but i digress,

did you think that i wouldn’t notice?

the pictures that you say that i sent

only exist inside your head.

you thought you hid your grief?

i watch it bleed out on your sleeve.

it isn’t impressive to falsify your depression to me,

i am not stupid.

imagine all the pain you’d feel

to watch your allies turn and kneel

to someone dishonest.

with no clear consequence.

can you remember a time in which in you i confide

that each day’s another sentence, and

i struggle just to finish?

did someone wipe your brain clean,

or do you have selective hearing?

“i just wish i’d disappear,”

is that what you want to hear?

if that was all i had to say,

then i could lie like you all day

and my conscience would be clear.

i’m getting out of here.
