Gross
Gross.
I feel gross.
“Take more than one shower a day” gross.
“Where four layers” gross.
“It’s been five minutes since I’ve washed my hands, I feel” g r o s s.
I feel gross.
“I was born a girl” gross.
“I’ll always love you as-” gross.
“I’m trying not to feel” g r o s s.
At this point the word feels translucent, empty, but I can’t wash it away.
It won't come off of my skin.
No matter how many times I wash my hair, no matter how hard I scrub, it still grasps on.
And it makes me feel revolting.
