Pen to Paper
Pen to paper,
blood to blood,
quill to ink,
earthquake to flood.
Fear to destruction,
Iife to death,
pain to anger,
breath to breath.
Fire and tears and roses and travels, letters and postcards and hope come unraveled.
Steel to copper,
ash to rust,
wonder to forgiveness,
despair to trust.
Pen to paper,
ink to page,
shock to understanding,
purity to rage.
The song will end as its begun, the poet is tired, this poem is done.
Pen to paper,
moon to sun,
pen to paper,
we are one.
