May we be governed by the hands of a mother tending her infant twins

United under semblance of age and of respect for their father's legacy
Born not of listlessness,
but of hope bred from the vigor of youth and wisdom of the aged

And from the vulnerability
of a nation conceived
from rebellious roots, may we rise from the dim lit embers of patriotism
Divided and diminished into spirit unrecognizable to the eyes of the blind whom take sides they know not why

A false alliegence beckoned by the masses whom trap the timid into a bottleneck proposition
Let us hem the tattered flag of binding stripes and stars
And join together despite a leader's polarizing call
