My Son
I see you turn, and you sway
As the dawn turns to day
While you sing, and you dance with glee
See you roll, and you play,
On the hill which you must stay,
If you wish to remain with me.
When the dusk turns to night,
And tremble with your fright,
As you fumble and you start to cry.
You get up, and you try,
With a tear in your eye,
To run into my arms.
“Abba! My father!”
With your eyes full of water,
“Show me the way back home!”
I say, “Stay noble my son.
“Look upon my sun,
“And all your fears will melt away.”
And you look above your worries,
All your painful memories,
And see my dawn rise up once more.
And sing, you rejoice,
For the sound of my voice,
Has called you back to your home.
“Stay noble my son,
“Look Upon the sun,
“And all your fears will melt away.”
