I woke up with a different feeling

All my cares and worries seemed to be gone

I opened my curtains, tired of the view of my ceiling

I saw the sun shining brighter than ever
I decided to walk outside because a good day was in store

I took one step outside and the air felt amazing

I felt my skin become sunk kissed

The sun’s warmth beat down on my blazing

Without my shoes I stepped onto the grass

The warmness of the grass surrounded my cold feet

I started admiring the beautiful weather hoping it would never pass

Then swept a soft breeze cooling me from the heat of the sun

I swept my hair back and a smile spread across my face

Because with this weather I knew summer had begun
