I feel the world ending,

It’s coming to a close.

When the sun sets tonight,

The red, inky sky

Will never again be seen.

As we dance over the

Graves of our ancestors

That will soon be our own,

We inhale the poison,

That corrupts our lungs.

We feel

That the world is ending.

And we know that

Only the dead and the gone

Will remain.

The clock is ticking.

Death is upon us.

Lungs are heaving.

Hearts are sputtering.

All in a futile attempt

To save what has

Already been lost.

The world is ending.

I feel it in my bones.

We’re all breathing poison.

I don’t want to go.

I’m going…

I’m going…

I’m gone.

Sometimes I feel uncertain about the future and the only way to cope with those feelings is to get it out onto paper.
