When a promise is broken
A heart becomes still
When a heart is broken
A soul is trodden upon
When a promise is broken
One shed tear becomes a stream
When a promise is broken
I become trapped in
Still black darkness
When a promise is broken
You no longer have the everlasting bond
When a promise is broken
The trust is losted but not where it once was
When a promise is broken
You move on and make another
To later be stepped on and forgotten
