2 am,

Dancing in the rain,

pitter patter the rain falls,

just as our feet move as we make up our steps.

Lightning thunder while our bodies shudder,

love filled eyes, wishing this stays forever.

“Sorry not today” you said and left-

left with me wondering where you went,

I put on a fake smile even though I was hurting,

I did that so that I could call you mine. 

We grew apart your green eyes so foreign,

they were cold and filled with distance different from mine,

I still stayed up till 3 waiting for the door to unlock and see you.

You never came, you ended us with a text,

 So naive I was blinded by love, so true.

It rained again today, 

wished you were with me like the old days,

I fell from the ladder of love and broke into pieces,

I see you in everyone in these new streets.

I saw you with a new girl i tried to not get jealous,

I miss you and i̶ ̶h̶o̶p̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶m̶i̶s̶s̶ ̶m̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶o̶.

I went to the coffee shop and remember us in those seats,

we were happy, at least I was,

Alas it was one sided love, as i picked up my broken pieces.
