A pool of blood,

Surrounds me,

A horror scene,

For all to see.

Wounds cover me,

From head to toe,

Telling stories new and old.

I've been beaten, 

I've been bruised,

And it all started,

The day I left you.

Now I draw,

My final breath,

Looking up,

To see the light at last.

But death is not freedom because you leave people behind and you don't know what's ahead. Death is not a reasonable escape from life. So I guess...we're stuck with life.
