I'm Sorry
I’m sorry I’m not perfect
that it’s just me
I’m sorry that we feel this pain
every day
because no one can look like
Her
and no one can be as tough as
Him
I want to live the life I want
without the fear of you
society
we all long for that perfect mirror
where we can look at it and smile
but if we find ourselves without flaws
what would give us motivation to keep going?
in reality, we are
weak
a small amount of people have the strength
to talk
to tell others that this is
Wrong
this world we live in
this unfair, terrible reality
has blinded us from our own happiness
when will our eyes open again?
when will we see?
I want to smile
happy to be
Me
but society is brutal
it’s a cruel reality
I’m sorry I’m not perfect
that I can’t look like Her
I’m sorry that I laugh too loud
I’m sorry that I dress too casual
I’m sorry that
I’m sorry that I’ll
Never
Ever
Be
who you
who society wants me to be
I am a 7th grader who loves writing. I wrote this for an assignment on raising our voice about one of society's problems. I chose the problem of how everyone has to be perfect.
