Rainbow
There is a rainbow.
Not in the sky.
At the end, no leprechaun or gold
Simply, because its in your eye.
This rainbow is a story told.
The red is your strength.
The way you hold people on your back without flinching.
The orange is your confidence.
The thing everyone around you envies but you fail to see.
The yellow is your warmth, creativity, and happiness.
The sun has met its match.
The green is your ability to heal.
Your sorry extends to more than just a word.
The blue is your peace.
An ocean so still, no waves in sight.
The purple is your ambition.
“You make 100% of the shots you take”
See a rainbow tells a story.
A deep tale in your eye.
A sight only filled with glory.
One that you are unable to see in the sky.

I just started poetry as a hobby and I really enjoy writing it. I also love rainbows and they cheer me up. However, the real inspiration for this poem was something else. A friend and I have these competitions where we chose a theme and write a poem about that theme. This poem sparked from a competition between us with the theme of COLOR.
