I'm just playing at mature
no I'm never really sure
halfway between a toddler and an ancient
halfway between anger and complacent
stirring chocolate milk in a wine glass
writing poetry online instead of going to class
reading Shakespeare on a f*cking website
thinking its a war when you know it's only a fight
Maybe if I could care a little less
Maybe if I didn't feel the need to repress
every emotion that goes through my head
Maybe if I didn't hope I would end up dead
I'm lonely enough again to talk to the moon
he smiles and he tells me it'll all be over soon
