Yesterday
Yesterday I searched
For answers never meant to be questioned
Yesterday I skimmed
My hands over the cover of the newspaper
dusts stuck on my fingers
Yesterday I cried
Leaving small dotted blotches on my pillow
Yesterday I searched
For tomorrow’s answer
Wondering what lies before us
One day they said changes will assume
But children are sleeping in fright
Yesterday has a dusty morning
Sky painted with ink
Red soaked into clean sheets
Eyes never again to be met
Noise embroidered the loud silence
The silence around us enlarged
I drowned in myself in the unforeseeable future
Like a lost passenger in the woods
Whose voice could only be heard by passing birds
Yesterday I searched
For every day’s answer
