The Fog
you tried to show me the way
from a distance it’s crystal clear
at first i was ready to obey
but now the fog is living here
could my vision be blurred?
could the scene be obscured?
could my voice be heard?
now my words are slurred.
still running out of time
no end in sight
the fog is your crime
and equally my fight

My name is Nevaeh and I’m 17 going into my senior year. I’ve published one other poem to Teen Ink, entitled “Home”, and I hope you enjoy “The Fog”.
