The Funeral
And so this is where I lay, with the tiniest bouquet, my heart.
A heart that can no longer be mended
A heart that’s been abused and left unattended
A heart that’s been overworked by its keeper.
A keeper that’s tired.
Tired of having a heart that no one wants.
A heart that everyone taunts.
Tired of having to pick up the individual pieces that have been littered by its tenants,
over, and over, and over again.
And so on this day, this is where I lay, my irreparable heart, with the tiniest bouquet.
I had a bad day :/
