I Sit There Alone
I sit there alone
Surrounded by humans
Humans
Humans like me
What am I meant to be?
I sit there alone
The cold air, brushing my black hair
Feeling the harsh winds bite my rough skin,
While I think in despair
I sit there alone
Hearing the sounds of laughter and joy,
My heart starts to ache,
Feeling depressed and destroyed
I sit there alone
And hear someone talking
She’s so miserable, they say, snickering
I want to run away
I sit there alone
Stomach in twisted knots
Darkness slowly swallowing me up
I break into small parts
I sit there alone
Feeling myself shaking
Shaking
I hear the bell ring
And I walk away from everything
I now stand alone,
Waiting to go inside
I can’t wait to go home
So I can cry

My piece is a poem about a girl, who sits alone during school, and what she has to go through.
