My Race
Running races brings pride and achievements. Running brings joy and adventure. Running brings struggle. Pain. Pain is never-ending. Pain brings tripping. Tripping brings bruises and scrapes. And fear. Fear that I won't be who I was before the pain. Fear the pain will bring me down. Fear that my goals will not be achieved. Fear of pushing myself. Fear of not being enough. Fear of too much pressure. Fear of not doing the one thing that brings me peace. Fear of not running. Fear of not finishing my race. My race of pain. My race to run. My race for achievements. But my race is not only about running. My race is life.

I hurt a lot. I have hip dysplasia in both of my hips and spina bifida in my S1. Basically my hips are screwed up and I have a hole in my spine. I hurt constantly but I love running and I don't want to stop but I might need to. Which is sad.
