Pink and White Haze
As the minutes pass
And the distance between us grows,
It’s getting harder
To keep how you make me feel to myself.
I see you everywhere I go now,
The once lonely walks to the train,
Now filled with anticipation and hope,
Hope that I'll see you in the crowd.
The giddy feeling that utterly encapsulates me
Feels familiar now.
The reminder of a time where the feeling was foreign
Saddens me.
And it reminds me of how I felt just before
You changed my life completely.
Pinks and white clouded my vision
When we locked eyes from across the room,
Everything else fades into a blur.
And I’ve been locked in this haze,
Happily.
