What I Want
What I want.
What I want is for you to notice me,
I want you to look at me and quickly
turn away when you see I noticed you looking.
What I want is for you to stop denying it.
To stop denying that we weren't meant for eachother.
To understand that two social cliques can be one.
To find yourself deep down and know that we can do it,
and ignore all of the remarks.
But it's all a dream.
Its all a dream because who thinks two social cliques can be one.
Who in their right mind thinks that a boy like you, could be with a girl like me.
A girl who tries everything to be like those girls.
The girls who are good at everything.
The girls who don't struggle with acne, or feeling ugly, or getting made fun of for being yourself.
The girls whom every single guy they give attention to is in love at first sight.
The girls who aren't struggling to live up to the standards of being “Skinny” or “Pretty”.
And it's all In my head.
Who in their right mind thinks that a boy like you, could be with a girl like me.
What I want is for you to notice me.
To notice me like you notice how you notice my flaws.
What I want is for you to look deep inside of me,
and not just think of me as the “Weird Girl”.
What I want is for you to see the real me.
The real me cries every day because you couldn't bother to see I am human too.
All I really want is for you to notice me.
That's all I really want.
