I'm Saved By The Blood Of The Lamb
I've made it,
after all the struggles;
after all the lonely days of travel.
I've seen many things,
from me to you, from them to who?
I still doubt it sometimes,
I know that's wrong;
but I'm here now, so I should be happy.
I wonder about the city hidden in the clouds,
I can only imagine what it's like up there, way- up in the air.
I know patience is key,
but oh...how wonderful would it be?
So many different paths have confused me,
others have blinded me beyond belief,
those are the ones who guide me,
This is how I guard myself from all the lies that lie here below that shining gold lining,
If only I could see it now;
Oh- how I would love to see it now!
And because I know the questions will never stop,
and because the wrongs will never make rights,
not down here; I do what I can, I do what I'm told, most of the time.
It's easy to fall into temptation,
it's hard to resist it,
good thing I have help now.
Heaven and Earth proclaim his name, sunshine
because he came,
I'm so happy;
I've strayed away from books,
but his I yearn to read.
Emotions I can't explain;
it's a hard life, but that's okay, I realize it's not that bad.
There's always something to look forward to.
Even if I forget, I won't forget my name.
In a world full of evil, we are so small;
so we must learn to stand tall and give it our all.
No matter how many corridors we wander through,
we'll try again,
and we'll make it through.
