My corset is tightened to where I can’t breathe, my shoes are giving me blisters, and I just can’t think. Why am I here? What is my purpose? Am I just some, doll that's just going to sit in a closet? My hair was loose, now tightened. Held up tight in a slick bun. I’m in a world where I’m being yanked and tugged and my world is closing up. Now I’m in a different world, where I can breathe and think and laugh and dance. All the colors inside me are being let free. My independence is key. The key to laughing, the key to dancing. The only thing that’s left inside me is my heart that’s still beating.
