The loons cry out
Into the dark New Hampshire night
Frogs croak, mosquitoes buzz
The camp is asleep
Dreaming pleasurable dreams

A light wind blows the soft grass on the hill
Rippling the lake water in the nighttime glow
The climbing tower casts a shadow on the ground
Stuffed targets in the archery range sit still
The diving board on the dock glows in the night

Pleasant smells of the outdoors
Towering pine trees and dirt
The road is still warm
From the previous day

But now the stars shine strong
Twinkling lights in the sky
The camp is dazzling
Lit by the luminescent moon
