Memories of Yesterday
I cry, watching memories float by
Becoming distant, yet still inside
They threaten, rip, and leave me no ease
They have taken over
Unleashed inner strength
I must fight to forget,
Yet fight to remember
the memories of yesterday
To those who do not hear
To those who do not see
To those who do not speak
To those who do not feel
learn of the reality, the truth.
I cry, watching memories float by.
As they push farther towards the edge of my mind
I cry out for them to stay
Stay close, so i don't forget
The memories of yesterday
