Voices
Walk down the dark hallways
Of cold echoing laughter
Of painful piercing screams
Until silence drowns them out
Silence heavy with unspoken lies
Until the breathing starts again
Circular and endless
Voices screaming out
From the abyss again
They scream and whisper
They never shut up
They want to know they're real
Don't make any sound
The voices are loud enough
Even when they're quiet
Don't drown out their breathing
They just want to say they're real
