The Sea

The vast and timeless sea stretches out before me
I lean toward it
It is calling to me
Singing from its endless depths
Of knowledge and of passing time
The constant sea
It's known the history of the world
Beauty, death, and terror
Change.
Always shifting yet remaining unchanged,
eternal
the constant sea,
A mystery,
Immense in its grandeur,
simplistic in its character
Roaring, raging,
Smooth as glass
The vast and timeless sea
It calls to me.
