A Clear Diagnosis
Heat, light, round ball of fire.
Fear builds, there is no desire,
To be in the sun, I flinch in fright.
I prefer the cold, darkness of night.
To feel the rays enmesh
On my pale flesh
Droplets of sweat sting like gin,
On my porcelain skin.
My diagnosis is clear,
My fear is sheer.
A Heliophobic straight to the heart,
I stare at the weather chart
Hoping for

To fall down on my head.
My sanity but a single thread.
The rain dolls I make hang in my room,
For summer has come all too soon.
To be in the sun, I flinch in fright.
I prefer the cold, darkness of night.
