A man serves my friend a smoothie
The man turns to me and frowns
"Sorry, I don't serve black people." He says
Then continues down the counter.

I stare at him, flabbergasted
I'm not black and he's not white
Neither of us are what's in a crayola box
but even crayons get along better

Blind people have an advantage
So do dogs
They don't see the colors that people claim we are
They see you for who you are, not what's covering you

Sadly, this was inspired by a recent encounter while my parents and I were on vacation. It didn't go well and resulted in my dad cutting the vacation short. Just remember everyone, we should all be a little colorblind.
