Cloudy with a chance of rain
We lay here on this cloudy day, sprawled out between the trees,
She and I, oh how we beg, won’t the sun come out? Oh please?
The sky above our heads we see, so miserable and grey,
Today is such a terrible one, nowhere to run, nor play.
I guess some days are just like this, with nothing to see, or do,
Why does god torment us so? I’ll never have a clue.
We sit and stare for quite awhile when finally I’ve had enough,
I get up, and she gets up, she lets out a soft “ruff ruff.”
“Good girl” I say, “now come along,” we head up towards the door,
We quickly get inside. The rain begins to pour.
