tonight, shadows
creep over his eyelids, flickering
with dreams.

as i like here across the bed
my thoughts wander,
things passing through me
that i have yet to share
with him

the night is so still
and i'm so awake
as i wonder how it is
that i ever came to believe
in his dreams

the sky grows light.
cool and eerie, the world
is mysterious

The author's comments:
Love is fragile. Precariously, it hangs on a ledge from which it may fall and shatter at any moment. But what happens when the love has dissapated? One woman experiences such loss.
