The Lemon and the Sprite

A lemon screamed in fright
And yelled, please turn off the light
I love the dark
I can see the spark
Of my lovely little fairy sprite

She prefers her dark very dark
She'll attempt to make a bite mark
Your arm is in danger
Of a little sprite ranger
Who makes tiny sounds like barks

Her figure is much smaller than me
Almost as small as a bee
But she shoots and flies
With delighted cries
And flies in circles with glee

The author's comments:
I wanted to write something that was totally make believe but also easy to picture in your mind when you read it. I had fun writing it and every time I read it I picture a fairy zooming through the air with a delighted lemon smiling and cheering.
