The Long and Lonely Road
Another sheet of rain tries to knock me to the ground. Another minute is lost. I take a step and ignore the nagging pain, for failing is not an option.
The pandemonium of the screaming people ring in my ears and I nearly stumble to the ground. Once more, icy water droplets shoot at me, but failing, it is not an option.
I must move on, I must win. For life, it cannot beat me once again.
