What will happen
What do I see
upon the land
with death
and plunder
with no
insightful hand
will the dead
arise from there
deep and
forgotten slumber
with some
unknown intent
Or will we fall
as nations and
as a species
were we have never
though we would
plunder
Will death come
quick to those
who are lost
or will we
die in torment
and in pain
Is our only
chance to live
written in
the ancient ideals
or can it be our
essential to
our special survival
We will never know
the pain of death
or the stench
of hell
but in time
our end will come
This is life
and life will end
but let us not worry
about tomorrow
and not dwell
in our past
but live in today
The end will come
ether in mass or alone
tomorrow or today
we can only live
and to live
means to stay in
today
