Too many people grow up. That's the real trouble with the world, too many people grow up. They forget. They don't remember what it's like to be 12 years old. They patronize, they treat children as inferiors. Well I won't do that.

I was up early
Waiting for that call
The one that never came
The one that made me bawl
I just wanted to hear
Your voice one more time
But life can change
At the flip of a dime
Skid marks on the road
Heading straight for the ditch
Too late to turn
Too late to switch
Over and over
The truck rolled down
The sight was scary
And so was the sound
I wish you could be here
Today is a new day
Daddy I miss you
I wish it wouldn't have ended this way
