I love you angel.
That's what I hear.
Four simple words.
Tossed about like tumbleweeds.
Precious love

I used to laugh at the thought of love.
Until I found it for myself.
True love, I thought.
Undying love, he said.
I didn't want to believe it.
Precious love

I was in love my Junior year of high school.
I didn't believe it at first.
But the months went by.
And I found myself believing it.
Precious love

I wondered, why me?
My friends told me I was insane.
My mom told me it wasn't possible.
But I begged to differ.
I was in love.
Precious love

Then it was gone.
Lost in the wind
Like a tumbleweed.
I was crushed, sad, hurt, and most of all.
I was afraid to love again.
Whatever happened to
Precious love.

Did I say something wrong? by your first three words, it sounded like . . . well like you were annoyed or expected something else. If I did do something wrong, please tell me. I don't want to feel stupid.

You ask a very good question, I never thought of that. You can have feelings towards that person, but saying "I love you" is something very special to a person your dating. My 'so-called' dating experience has developed a little more than what it was. My first 'internet' date- If you can call it that- was some what good, but the girl I was with just wanted to talk and nothing more. Weeks went by and I first thing I said was a love poem. The girl was in shock, she did not expect it. It took her by surprised. My perspective would be this: give your relationship time, but do something out of the ordinary for that person. Don't instantly say "I love you," it's too rushy. Girls/guys dont like to be rushed on that subject. Basically what I'm saying: don't say "I love you" on the first date, give that relationship some time. But show little by little your affection towards that person each day.

That is a very nice poem. It's a sad poem. Yeah, I know I'm a guy reading this. But I have a soft side to my heart. :( For some odd reason I want to say it's a beautiful poem.
